Everything You Need to Know About MIND Case-Study Sessions
About MIND
It is an intelligent learning and assessment assistant designed to help students engage in interactive academic conversations, especially around case studies.
Accessing MIND
You can access MIND through the LMS. Once the MIND Case Study activity is available in your course, click on it from the LMS to begin.
Microphone Setup
MIND is a voice-based case-study session, so it needs microphone access to hear your responses during the conversation.
Network & Readiness
MIND checks your network because the session happens in real time and requires a stable internet connection. The network indicator helps you know if your connection is strong enough before or during the session. Blue or Green means your connection is strong and stable. Yellow or Orange means your connection is moderate or weak. You may experience delays, slow responses, or buffering. Red means there is no network connection or a serious connection problem. MIND may not work properly until your internet connection improves. Gray means your device is idle, disconnected, out of range, or waiting for internet authentication.
Starting a Session
After completing the setup instructions and microphone test, click Start Session to begin your conversation with MIND.
During the Session
MIND will ask you questions about the case study and may follow up based on your answers. You should respond clearly and explain your reasoning as much as possible.
Ending the Session
When you are done, click End Session. This will close the conversation and complete the session.
Report & Performance
Yes. After the session ends, you will receive a report showing how you performed during the MIND case-study conversation.
Troubleshooting
You may be unable to start if your microphone is not enabled, your microphone test fails, your internet connection is poor, or you have not completed the setup steps.
Best Practices
Read the case study carefully, understand the key issues, prepare your thoughts, use a quiet environment, test your microphone, and ensure your internet connection is stable.
